And my supervisor (who was also very sweet) got me this cute snack today, which comes with a really cute panda paper clip! :DDD Ending the working week with these little things from people who care really takes me a lot higher. At this point of time, it's just really good to know that you're appreciated or loved, or both.
Anyway, I've been at the new office for exactly a week now, it's a lot better than before actually. Colleagues have been very patient and kind - they include me in lunches or outings even though i've been sooooo quiet most of the time. I know I only have a month and a half to stay, but I really wish time would zoom pass this awkward period where I still can't seem to open up to the rest. I do hope it's really all about getting used to one another in the long run. Anyway, i think if there'd be any 'barriers', it would probably be me and myself only. Like i said, starting over at @*$#$%#(*& has been soooo taxing, i just don't feel like trying so hard to make impressions, find common topics and then try harder to fit in anymore. :(
But yeah, i'm just saying. Just tired. I really shouldn't let the past affect my judgement and attitude towards the people around me now. My new colleagues, they're nice people after all.
