" 12. You should call your mother and tell her you love her. Like most women who decide to marry and have children or help take care of a dying parent, she probably sacrificed a lot of her dreams to be there for you, and she wishes that you appreciated her more for it. Susan Boyle represented this demographic powerfully, but for every one of her, was a woman like your mother who will never get that standing ovation. "

And I used to think how carefree it was to be a housewife, just watching the kids leave for school and waiting for someone to bring home the bacon. But I guess I had the opportunity (or rather, I had to) to do what my mom had been doing all these time, while she was sick. And I had only been in her shoes for a day (and I probably haven't made it very far), but I'm already so ()#@$*(% tired after all the housework. Trying the routine out myself really got everything figured out; the laments about endless laundry, not having time to rest and the ever-so-much dust. Yes, I used to feel like those statements were super ridiculous too since she was at home the whole time and had the freedom to rest/tidy up whenever she wants. But this was before today when I almost fainted in front of the mountain of clothes washed (means I had to take them in to fold @.@) and unwashed (worse), followed by the dishes left by fatty in the sink. T__T
So kudos to all the mommies/housewives who love their families so much they devote their time and lives to do the chores I did today, on a daily basis! :D
And, Mommy I love you! Be well soon, yea?
