Goodbye Jul, Hello Aug

1st post of the month! Thought it'd be good to share how I spent the last few days of July and the beginning of August since they both ended and started on a rather happy note respectively, I would say. :)

Wrapped up July with the secondary school peeps, celebrating mantou's b'day with BBQ and loads of K-box! Had the urge to go k since forever and I definitely had more than what I asked for; we actually sang from 11pm - 3am and 11am - 3pm again the next morning! LOL. But the best part was definitely catching up and laughing at these bunch of lamers! Still as childish as they were in sec 1, but i love them! :p

Best OG for Arts Camp O-week!

Went for O-week (a 5-day camp, though i only made my appearance here and there) after the chalet. But I enjoyed it nonetheless, especially towards the end. Fyi, i am totally not a camp person but this isn't my first camp. In fact, it's my 3rd/4th since admission into uni. (I have no idea how they happened but they just did and I was there) Haven't been blogging about the past camps cos I simply didn't felt enough enthusiasm/love to translate into words lol. Not that I hate the previous camps (Topsy ppl who happen to read this, don't get me wrong), but I guess I just didn't felt that strong a connection. But that's not the point. Thing is, now I do feel that o-week was blog-worthy and I believe this is a good start. :) Glad I went to crash because the fresh freshies were a nice (and cute) bunch to know, and I saw so much more of my tuatow mates, i.e. Clement's drunk side. XD Looking through the pics still makes me LOL.

One of the segments which I enjoyed most during O-week; putting on our uniforms (though what's shown above isn't exactly the way to don it lol) for social night! Anyway. It's a good, indescribable feeling; wearing the HSS uniform again. Memories aside, it also reminds me of how far I came from; a neighborhood school (with a somewhat rotten? reputation; i could still vividly remember myself crying uncontrollably when I received the posting results) to a reputable local university today. I hope I did HSS proud. And I don't care how often the police come knocking outside the school gates, but truly, I am proud of HSS too. It played a significant part in taking me to where I am today and one day, I hope I'd be able to hold true to the HSS motto: 'Today I am proud of Henderson, Tomorrow Henderson will be proud of me'. (LOL random i know but somehow the statement just came to mind, please do not think i sound idiotic)

Anyhow, uni life will commence in a bit (in a week's time i think) and much as i can't bear to part with the hols, I guess it's time/good to have a focus in my life? Hope school will be kind though - it kinda scares me whenever I think about having to take engrish/write essays/do tutorials after not using my brain for like 4 mths? Ugh okaes let's leave this for later. On a happier note, am meeting the 03 peeps before we all start school tmr, followed by rag with my favorite girls :) May August turn out to be as good as it gets!
