this is a post for friendship

Finally found some time to sit in front of the lappy to do a proper update. The past couple of weeks have been pretty hectic but enjoyable, with friends keeping me busy and at the same time, very very happy. :) So here goes;

USS with the best bud
FINALLY got to go on the sexciting rides at USS, and for quite a bargain I would say, much thanks to Vivyan! The 2 extra tix she had was just nice for me and the bestie to do something different from our usual meal-&-movie meetups. Had a lot of fun feeling like a kid again! :D I love our picture with Po (though he kinda startled me when he placed his paw on my head and I wished he had his ricebowl apron on) - he's so roundddd it just makes you happy ;D LOL.

Graduation

Then comes the day which made the three years of hardwork in poly seemed worthwhile. Like what a friend said, graduating is a bittersweet feeling. A part of you rejoice in the end of brain-frying assignments/late nights/stress and whatnots, yet another seemed to wish that the three years had passed a lil slower or lasted a wee bit longer. For me, and I believe many others as well, the hardest part to swallow is probably the parting itself; we all know we'd be going towards different paths in life but none is certain about being able to hold the friendship in place. (LOLLL friends pls don't get me wrong, by saying this, i have no intention of severing ties with any one of you!) Not that I have no faith in the people around me, but I've had my fair share of drifted friendships as well. :/

That being said, I also had my share of the Ups in friendship during poly. I hope this doesn't sound too cheesy/cheeky to those reading it but I'm glad I met these 2 girls in year 1 and they stuck around till somewhere in year 2, 1 more girl (who seemed very much like a blur sotong) just muddled her way in to join us, I don't know how it happened either lol. And since then, the 3 of them stood by the countless times i'd get too emo and burst into tears, as well as those which I simply could not control my laughter lol. 3 years may seem short compared to 50-year old folks who still keep in touch with their pri school friends, but it's not insignificant. Looking back, I could safely say that we've been through pretty much together; Lamenting bout projects all the time, coming out with the funniest worst-case scenarios ever, but eventually giving our best shot as a group, trying out new stuffs together, sharing our most most honest opinions (criticisms) bout people LOLL, taking each other through problems at home, welcoming a baby niece :D, seeing one another (though it's more like one by one for me :/) fall in love and leave the shelf, going overseas and even staying with each other for up to 6 weeks! Then finally, drawing a close to one chapter of our lives (poly) and at the same time also beginning a new one together.

To Cheeky, Ricebow and the No-lifer, just so you all know, we may have our disagreements and pet peeves bout one another but I always enjoy the moments we spent together. Thanks for making my time in poly a one to remember and I hope that we'll continue to fill our friendship with happy memories.

i love you all! :)

And not forgetting the best friend, thanks a million for being there and helping to take pictures :)

Graduation Dinner at Grand Copthorne Waterfront
Glad to be invited to the dinner because it really made up for the prom I did not have in secondary school. Got to admit that I was initially only looking forward to wearing a pretty dress and dolling up (though the process didn't really turn out enjoyable cos I fell asleep and woke up with only 1 hr left to prepare; ended up rushing like a siao char bor :/) But the 10 bucks proved to be quite worthwhile eventually, with good food, entertaining line-up of programs and of course, great company. :)

Ruibao's visit to SG

SG Hotel stayover along with Esther when the long-time-no-see Taiwanese friend from sec school came to visit. Had an awesome weekend bringing the 'tourist' around, catching up and spamming polaroids (though I almost morphed into a walking zombie along Orchard road towards the end of the 2 days due to the late nights and irregular meals)! Been more than 5 years since all of us came together, but those 2 days felt exactly HSS days and I'm happy to feel like that all over again. Happy that we somehow managed to keep in touch amidst all that's going on in our individual lives. It'd be great if we could keep it going, friendship for 5 years and counting! :)

TRM Grad Party at Wavehouse Sentosa
Fun and relaxing night with the TRM people. Alright, I'll have to admit that I was a tad disappointed when I realized it was a casual theme cos we don't get to dress up! ;/ But eventually, it was kind of a blessing in disguise cos I woke up with less than one hour to prepare this time, and would probably have become a real siao char bor if the theme was dressy?! LOL. Anyway, happy to catch up with people whom I've not met in awhile like busy fangfang, purd and muthu! Also, many thanks to the organizing committee for the innovative games (esp. the prizes lol) and all. :)

Work
Been working for a month at my current workplace, a government recruitment agency (at least that's my impression of what it is). As it often is, work couldn't be more sleep-inducing but I pulled through the month with the bunch of joker-colleagues around :D No prizes for guessing what I'm about to say, except getting to hear it once more; when it comes to work, the PEOPLE are soooo damn important. Though it has only been a short while and most have already left (and I'm not sure if I would ever see some of them again), I'm glad to have made these new friends. Besides the moolahs, they're probably my best takeaway from the job and I'll miss them. Heh.

LOLLLL this has got to be my longest post everrr. Till the next one!
